Mission Accomplished! Obama supporters are so quick to declare Obama a success that they’re objectivity is going out the window with their credibility. Now, I understand that my definition of a successful President might be different than yours…but for supporters of Obama, success would mean a culmination of everything that he had promised. So, let’s get rolling with those campaign promises!
1st: Obama promised hope over fear.
The result…right off the bat was quite the contrary. Obama went on TV hours after being sworn in barking that it was essential to our nation that we should vote on the bail out ASAP! His exact words, “If nothing is done, this recession could last for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not able to reverse.”
Wait one second, that sounded like an awful lot of fear-mongering Obama was dishing out. Quite the contrarian, during his own inauguration Obama stated, “On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear.” Empty words if you ask me.
